Five-year Fixed-rate Mortgages Below 4% as Confidence in the Market Builds

Lloyds Banking Group and Virgin Money have followed HSBC in reducing some of their five-year fixed-rate mortgages below 4%. This was the first time we have seen a five-year fixed-rate mortgage below 4% since early October 2022 showing signs of the market growing in confidence, especially lenders. 

The lastest Halifax Price Index also shows promising signs with house prices remaining stable, with a 0.0% monthly change in January 2023.
