the town of Stamford who specialised in the valuation and
sale of trees and timber. |
1907 |
The firm was trading as Messrs Richardsons and Son. |
1952 |
Sam Scorer joined Messrs Richardsons and became a
partner in 1953. |
1971 |
Amalgamation of Richardsons with Fox & Vergette of Peterborough and so then traded as Fox Vergette
and Richardson, this also included the firm at Ramsey of
James C How and Co. |
1976 |
The firm became known as Vergettes. |

Amalgamation with Henry Spencer & Son Ltd., Retford |
1986 |
The firm was taken over by the Halifax Building Society. |
1991 |
Sam Scorer left the Halifax and took back the
Agricultural business, and began trading on his own as H S
Scorer and Co. |
1992 |
Charles Richardson joined the partnership having trained originally with Lyall
& Co / Berry Bros. |
1993 |
Graham Clay became a partner having been in practice in Stamford with Lyall
and Co. and the firm became known as Scorer Clay Richardson. |
1997 |
Michael Thompson joined the partnership bringing with
him his agricultural practice, Sam Scorer and Graham Clay
having retired from the partnership but continuing as
Consultants. |
2002 |
Andrew Leech joined the firm from Carter Jonas to further the Commercial Department. Andrew did his training with Lyall & Co / Berry Bros.
The firm then changed its name to what it is known as today, RICHARDSON. |
